The Westchester Poverty Symposium is an opportunity for individuals to come together to learn about innovative, community-driven partnerships focused on helping those in need. At each event, we explore actionable solutions and sharing of strategies focused on creating systems that are effective.

We are thrilled to announce the return of our Westchester Poverty Symposium on Thursday, March 9th, featuring keynote speaker Dave Heath, CEO + Co-Founder of Bombas, and a lineup of fantastic guests and panelists. This year, the event will be at The Play Group Theatre, a state-of-the-art performing arts venue in downtown White Plains that has given out more than $1 million in scholarships over the past decade. We hope that you’ll join us there! Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

8am: Doors Open
8:30-9: A Fireside Chat With Dave Heath, CEO + Co-Founder, Bombas
9-10: Panel Discussion— “Clothing Insecurity and Its Negative Impact on the Self-Esteem of Children”
10:15-11: An Update on the United Way’s ALICE Report— “Living Without a Safety Net: The Invisible Struggle of Households Working Paycheck to Paycheck”
11-12: Panel Discussion— “Using Food Rescue to Combat Food Insecurity”
