914Cares Events are designed to help our community by raising critical awareness about poverty in Westchester and by providing different ways for our community members to help those that need it most. Please join us and help us accomplish bigger things moving forward.
Our annual gala is not only a fundraising event but a celebration of our volunteers, supporters, friends, and staff. We reflect on our past years successes and celebrate our close-knit 914Cares community. Save the date for this year’s event on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Westchester Country Club’s Beach Club in Rye, NY.
Each year, 914Cares works with 10-12 of our Community Partners to help fill the gap on their holiday giving programs. Our Holiday Gift Drive begins the Monday after Thanksgiving and runs through the third week of December. While there are many toy drives around the country every year, our Holiday Gift Drive focuses primarily on teens who are often forgotten during the holidays. We distribute over 2,500 gifts annually.
The Westchester Poverty Symposium is an event where community members, nonprofit leaders, elected officials, policymakers, funders, and others join to share innovative ideas about community-driven partnerships.
The Symposium is an opportunity for thought leaders to focus on helping those in need. At each event, we explore actionable solutions and the sharing of strategies focused on creating systems that are effective.
3rd Annual Westchester Poverty Symposium: Collaborate & Eradicate: Navigating long-haul poverty and the complexities of systemic inequality.
Event date: Thursday, March 10, 2022

#FilltheVan is a countywide diaper and wipes drive to support our All Things Baby programs. Local businesses, houses of worship, schools and families host their own drop off boxes and encourage those they know to donate diapers and wipes. This event usually takes place around Valentine's Day so we can "Fill the Van with Love."
